Cavalier opened its first manufacturing facility in Addison, Alabama and acquired six operation plants in 1987 owned by Brigadier Homes. In 2009, Cavalier was purchased by Southern Energy Homes and joined the Clayton Homes Family of Brands.

Our homes are built in a controlled environment where labor is consistent and weather does not interfere with the construction process—resulting in a site built look at a manufactured price.

Cavalier-built homes meet federal codes administered by HUD—The Department of Housing and Urban Development—which assures quality, durability, and energy efficiency. Our building facility affords money saving techniques not available to site built construction. Cavalier is an ISO 14001 company making our production process as green as possible. The construction of a Cavalier home is much more than materials—it’s the skilled craftsmanship of our team members who build it.
